How To Purchase Tickets Tickets can be purchased over the phone or online with Symfonee Ticketing with the following credit cards: Visa, American Express, or MasterCard. There is a $3.00 service charge per ticket over the phone or online. Tickets are also available at the Box Office (no service fees apply in person) located inside The DC Improv. All pre-purchased tickets will be made available at the will call window the night of the performance.
Showroom Seating All early shows (Tues-Sun at 8:00 p.m.) are first come first serve for seating. Doors open 90 minutes prior to show time. Late shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. are assigned seating according to reservation number (earlier you purchase tickets, better seats you will have). Seating begins at 10:00 p.m. for late shows. Tickets can be picked up starting at 9:30 p.m. Due to crowd and noise control for all shows, large groups will not be seated in the front 2 rows.
Dress Code The dress is casual.
Minimum Age All shows are 18 and over.
Two Item Minimum All shows require a two item minimum per person in the showroom. This can be any combination of food, drinks, coffee or dessert. All early shows offer dinner entrees, appetizers and drinks (Tues-Sun at 8:00 p.m.). Late shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. offer only appetizers and drinks. Check our Menu!

Gift Certificates Give the gift of laughter! Certificates may be purchased at any time over the phone, online or in person and may be made out for any denomination. The certificates may be used for tickets and/or food and drink inside the showroom. To redeem a gift certificate, please call us at 202.296.7008 or stop by the club and make a reservation. Gift certificates are not redeemable online.
Metro/Direction The DC Improv is only 1/2 block from the Farragut North Metro Station on the Red Line, one stop away from Metro Center. The metro is open until midnight every weekday and until 2:00 a.m. every Friday and Saturday. When exiting towards L street walk straight up Connecticut Avenue towards Dupont Circle (we are located on the left hand side). When exiting towards K Street, turn around walking up Connecticut towards Dupont Circle (we are located on the left hand side). From the Farragut West Metro Station, exit out towards 17th Street and we are 2-3 blocks up Connecticut Avenue North. The DC Improv is adjacent to Ann Taylor and PMI Parking Garage.

Parking Street There is metered parking Monday-Saturdays ($2 an hour). Please read stickers on meters for exact times as it varies street to street. Meters are free on Sundays. There is a PMI parking lot next door that is $10.00. However, the PMI parking garage is NOT open on Sundays. There is another PMI parking lot on DeSales Street that is open on Sundays.
Party Packages and Group Rates We do not offer any discounted group rate for tickets. However, there are a variety of packages available for our comedy shows. Just give us a call a (202) 296-7008 with the specifics (date, how many people, and food/drink requirements) and we will fill you in on all of the options.

The DC Improv Comedy Lounge The DC Improv launched a second room in fall of 2006. The lounge is home to our comedy school classes plus special intimate engagements featuring both local and national comedians. The lounge is available to rent for private functions, corporate meetings or various comedy shows. If you are attending a Comedy Lounge Show, the entrance is located inside The DC Improv Comedy Club. Upon arrival you will see a frosted glass door in front of our ticket booth which will lead into the Lounge. Pre-purchased tickets will wait for you at the will call window for pick-up the evening of the show. Find out more here!
Room Rental & Hiring a Comic The showroom at the DC Improv holds up to 300 people and is available for daytime or nighttime rentals with or without a comedy show. Smoking Effective January 1st, 2007, The DC Improv Comedy Club is completely non-smoking in all areas; including showroom, lobby and new lounge.

From Virginia via 395 North (Directions good for travel from National Airport/GW Parkway North/Alexandria/Arlington/Crystal City/Stafford/Fredericksburg)
- 395/14th Street Bridge
- 14th St. Bridge to K St.
- Left on K St.
- At 17th St. get onto access road running parallel to K St. (Can't turn onto Connecticut Ave. from main roadway)
- Access road will force you to turn right onto Connecticut Ave.
- 1 1/2 blocks on the left (between L & M Street)
From Virginia via I-66/Roosevelt Bridge (Directions good for travel from Falls Church/Manassas/Tyson's Corner/Fairfax/Dulles)
- Take 66 East into Washington
- Take "E" Street exit off of Roosevelt Bridge
- Follow "E" Street to 18th Street
- Make a left onto 18th Street
- Make a right onto "L" Street
- One block to Connecticut Ave. - make a left
- 1/2 block on the left (between L & M Street)
From Maryland via Rockville/I-270 and 495 North (Directions good for travel from Fredrick/Rockville)
- Take Rockville/I-270 until splits into 495 North
- 495 North aka Beltway to Connecticut Ave. exit towards Chevy Chase
- Make a left at the light and continue down Connecticut Avenue about 10-12 miles.
- Follow Connecticut Avenue through Chevy Chase and Dupont Circle
- The DC Improv is on the left (between L & M Street)
From Maryland via Suitland Parkway
- Andrews Air Force Base
- Suitland Parkway to Pennsylvania Ave.
- Make a right on 14th Street.
- 14th St. Bridge to K St.
- Left on K St.
- At 17th St. get onto access road running parallel to K St. (Can't turn onto Connecticut Ave. from main roadway)
- Access road will force you to turn right onto Connecticut Ave.
- 1 1/2 blocks on the left (between L & M Street)
From Rockville/Bethesda via Wisconsin Avenue
- Take Rout 355 to Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda (355 turns into Wisconsin Ave)
- Follow Wisconsin Avenue through Chevy Chase and Tenleytown
- Make a left on Garfield (after National Catherdral)
- Take first right on Mass Avenue
- Go through 2 traffic circles, at 2nd circle stay in outside lanes
- 1/3 around circle bear right onto Connecticut Avenue
- The DC Improv is on the left (between L & M Street)
From Baltimore and Annapolis via 295
- 295 South (Baltimore/Washington Parkway)
- Follow onto 50 West
- 50 West will turn into New York Avenue
- At 7th Street, New York Ave turns into Massachusetts Avenue - continue straight
- At 16th Street follow 1/2 way around traffic circle
- Bear right onto M Street
- Take a left into Connecticut Avenue
- The DC Improv is on the right (between L & M Street)
From Baltimore via 95 South
- Take 95 South
- Merge onto 495 West (the Beltway)
- 495 aka Beltway follow to Connecticut Ave. exit towards Chevy Chase
- Make a left at the light and continue down Connecticut Avenue about 10-12 miles.
- Follow Connecticut Avenue through Chevy Chase and Dupont Circle
- The DC Improv is on the left (between L & M Street)
